Stories, Uplifted™

A social storytelling experience where
performance meets community-building.

Everyone has a story to share. How will you tell yours?

In this monthly curated social storytelling experience created by Eli Walker, founder of The Uplift Center for Belonging, you'll find an evening of performance and community-building.

The Evening:
Expect playful vibes, honest expression, moving performances and a room full of people who are super psyched to know you.

  • 6:30pm Arrival: happy hour, mingle, enjoy drinks and get settled

  • 7pm Showtime: stories begin plus a planned intermission

The Stories:
Storytellers will take the stage to share their work in any inspired form, from monologues to poetry to music (original or reimagined) to excerpts from works-in-progress.

  • Stories are designed to take the audience on a journey as every piece is crafted with a clear beginning, middle, and end

  • Each story-sharer is allotted 6 minutes at the mic

  • Notes are okay, but make sure your story's been rehearsed

  • Signups will happen at the door with limited spots, so come early!

The Scene:
Limited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available for sale. Feel free to BYO treats and beverages to enjoy in a reusable vessel; whatever you choose to bring is for your personal enjoyment.

The event is offered on a sliding scale donation basis to support operations with required RSVP. Thank you!
